Hey Don:
I believe this is Garrapolo's final year of his rookie contract so I think the 49ers front office will tag him (because they have tons of cap room) as a prove it year in 2018. If the team progresses in the right direction, they will sign him to a longer deal (A Brock Osweiler structured contract, hopefully not type of play). The Cousins potential is 90% over, unless they put Garrapolo out there to play the final weeks and plays well enough for another QB needy team to trade multiple picks to replenish what was sacrificed to the Patriots. The 49ers can not "sanely" sign two QBs and Kirk Cousins, as much as he would love to go back to Kyle Shanahan's system I believe he will go to a "contending" team. Some suitors include Minnesota(even with Case Keenum's career year), Jacksonville(because Blake Bortles is hot garbage), Denver(John Elway can't draft a QB as GM).
